Calling all young artists!

Unlock your imagination and showcase your creativity in the Beyond the Lock Kids’ Art Competition.  Your artwork could be featured on the walls of our escape room, adding a touch of whimsy to the lobby, bathroom walls, or even inside the game!

Submission Guidelines:

• Minimum size (shortest edge): 16”

• Maximum size (longest edge): 36”

• Theme colors: Blues and Teals and/or Purples

• Theme: Whimsical – Let your imagination be your guide

• Different canvas shapes welcome

• Multiple submissions welcome

• All artwork must be appropriate for all ages - nothing scary or inappropriate.

How to Participate:

• Create your whimsical masterpiece with the theme colors in mind.

• Take a high-quality photo of your artwork.

Submission Deadline: March 1, 2024

Judging and Prizes:

• Finalists will be notified and must bring their artwork to Beyond the Lock Escape Rooms, located at 4220 E. Florida Ave. for final judging.

• Parent or guardian waiver required for finalists, consenting to the display of artwork for promotional purposes.

• Winners will have their art displayed on location at the discretion of Beyond the Lock staff, possibly in the lobby, bathroom, or one of the game rooms.

• Each winning artwork with be accompanied by a gallery-style plaque, provided by Beyond the Lock.

• Each winner will receive one family pack of tickets for up to 6 players to play the Escape Room game once it is open (subject to game restrictions and availability, one time slot per family). Prize has no cash value.

• Multiple winners will likely be selected.

• All decisions made by Beyond the Lock staff are final.

Return of Artwork:

• Non-winning finalists will have their artwork returned (to be picked up during business hours).
